Mass will be celebrated outside, weather permitting, at the following times:
Sunday 9am and 11am
Tuesday to Friday 9.30am
The car park will be closed and there is no on-site parking available for Saturday and Sunday Masses. This is to allow sufficient space for socially distanced seating in the open air.
To ensure we are all at a safe distance from each other inside the church the attendance capacity is much less than it used to be. High attendance numbers at the Sunday 11am Mass in particular will not be sustainable when we move inside the church building so please consider attending at a different time.
The obligation to attend on a Sunday remains suspended so please do feel welcome to attend a weekday Mass (Tuesday to Friday at 9.30am), as an alternative to the weekend, as numbers attending are much lower.
Please do not attend at the weekend if you are able to attend on Tuesday to Friday, as this allows capacity for those who have no chance to attended on weekdays.
Remember that a mask or face covering is required when Mass is celebrated inside the church, unless you are exempt.
We look forward to seeing you back at St Matthew's and ask for your cooperation in helping us keep everyone safe.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION
First Holy Communion preparation classes resume on Saturday 19th September 2020 from 9.30am-10.30am. The class will take place inside the church to allow for social distancing. We look forward to welcoming the children back for their preparation to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
The Masses for First Holy Communion will be celebrated on 10th/11th and 17th/18th October. Attendance numbers will be strictly limited at each Mass to comply with the COVID-19 social distancing requirements inside the church.
If you do not wish for your child to return to the preparation sessions at this time please advise by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
